By now you’ve probably heard of Amazon Prime Day, but just in case you haven’t, this post is everything you need to know about Amazon Prime Day including what, and how, you can access their great deals.
What is Amazon Prime Day
Amazon Prime Day is 2-day, global, can’t-be-missed shopping event. It’s basically the Black Friday of shopping for Amazon exclusively. With deals starting about every 5 minutes it’s a “do-not-want-to-miss” 2-day sale.

Expect to find the best deals on Amazon products and services such as Alexa devices, Kindles, etc., and besides physical device deals, expect deals on Amazon services and memberships like (Kindle Unlimited, Amazon Music Unlimited, Prime Video, Audible, etc.) and grocery shopping (Amazon Fresh, Amazon Pantry, Whole Foods, and more.)
But this sale is far from just sales on Amazon products and services. With millions of brand name products going on sale right along with them, this is the time and the place to get all your holiday shopping done.

Why would you want an Amazon Prime Membership?
This is a lengthy section because there is so many reasons to get a Prime Membership. So if you already have a membership and know all there is to know about what your membership includes, then scroll down past this section for more important tips for shopping Prime Day! Standard Amazon Prime membership costs (not including sale prices)

Amazon Fresh isn’t in every neighborhood just yet so be sure to check and see if they deliver in your area.

The Amazon Prime App – A must have for Amazon Prime Day!
Another tool you can use for Prime Day is the Amazon App available on IOS and Android. You can get that free app below The Amazon app is one of the quickest, easiest ways to prep for Prime Day. It allows you to see deals before they go live, and will alert you when the deal you want goes live.
From this app you can simply click the menu drop down bars on the top left of the screen and you will see Today’s Deals which is broken down by “Right Now, Upcoming, and Watching” If you see something your interested in then simply click “Watch this deal” under the item and Amazon will alert you when the item goes live.
Under the “Watching” tab you will be able to see when your items will go live so all you have to do is wait for that time or for when Amazon alerts you it’s live.
Another way to use the app is to type “sneak peak“ in the search bar and you will get a sneak peak into the Prime Day deals.
Get notifications
To get notified when sneak peek deals start, make sure that you have your Amazon App notification turned on. To do this, tap the app’s main menu (three bars in the upper left corner). Then tap “Settings”, then “Notifications”, and enable “Personalized Notifications”.
You can also search to see if a specific item will be going on sale by looking to see if it has a special Prime Day Badge on it. See the photo below for an example of a badge.
